At Jim’s Property Maintenance (JPM), we offer barrier applications to reduce the presence of ticks and mosquitos, as well as broadcast applications to combat lawn pests like ants and grubs. Our applicators are well-trained and thorough. We take care and pay attention to detail with every job we do. As such, we avoid treating areas with actively blooming plants, fruiting trees, etc. to reduce the likelihood of harming non-target, beneficial insects like bees and butterflies.

Three applications of our product provide the same length of control as 5-6 applications of our competitors' products. Our Pest Control Services Process
With Jim’s Property Maintenance (JPM), you can expect a straightforward and reliable process. Our skilled team efficiently completes their work, ensuring minimal disruption to your day. Upon arrival at your property, our licensed applicator will generally use a backpack fogger or pump sprayer to apply our product blend(s) to the areas where they have the highest likelihood of neutralizing pests.
We take pride in our attention to detail, and make recommendations to our clients about ways to further reduce the presence of mosquitos and other pests at their homes. Often, this involves simply reducing the presence of standing water by cleaning out clogged gutters, or even flipping buckets, wheelbarrows, etc. upside down so they don’t catch rain. For properties with ponds and other water features, we highly recommend dissolvable mosquito “dunks” that neutralize mosquito larvae before they hatch through non-chemical means.
THE JPM MOSQUITO MANAGEMENT PROGRAM:
If you find mosquitos a problem or have concerns about them this season, we recommend signing up for 3 to 4 mosquito barrier applications for a full season of control. The first of these is immediately after trees and other greenery leaf out in late-May. Applications are scheduled approximately 30 days apart and are only conducted in favorable weather conditions to ensure the effectiveness of our product.
All JPM applicators are licensed and certified by the DATCP to apply products that control mosquitoes and other aquatic pests. Our applications combat mosquitoes at different stages of their life cycle, providing immediate insect knockdown and long-lasting protection against mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, flies, and fleas.
Product Blend: Demand CS Insecticide & Archer Insect Growth Regulator:
Demand CS provides a knockout blow to adult mosquitoes that come into contact with treated surfaces. Meanwhile, Archer complements Demand CS by preventing mosquitoes still in the larval stage from reaching adulthood. This one-two punch delivers better control and longer residual efficacy than Talstar and Bifenthrin, the two most commonly applied products by other mosquito control services.

Wisconsin is home to 55 different species of mosquitoes, some of which are capable of transmitting dangerous diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, Zika, and West Nile virus. Mosquitoes are responsible for over 700,000 deaths annually worldwide. These insects primarily feed on nectar, honeydew, and plant juices, but female mosquitoes require the iron in the blood to produce eggs, leading to their infamous “bites.”
Mosquitoes are particularly attracted to people with O-negative blood, heavy breathers, those with strong body odor and heat, and pregnant women. They are most active during calm, low light, and humid conditions and generally inactive during midday, when temperatures drop below 55 degrees, or when wind speeds exceed 15 mph.

Pest Control Pricing
Our pricing ranges from $90 to $300 per application, depending on your property size. We charge $30 per gallon of mixed product applied at each property, with a minimum charge for 3 gallons. For new clients, we provide quotes based on our experience with similar properties. For returning clients, we evaluate how many gallons were used the previous year and adjust price accordingly.

Had our lawn edged by the amazing staff of Jim's Property Maintenance. Nobody likes to do the job of edging their lawn as it is a back breaking, exhausting output of energy. Not only did they do an incredible and professional job of edging the lawn but my husband mentioned that we had dug out a rotted stump by the fence in our alley and he was afraid someone might step into the hole and hurt themselves so if they wanted to dump some of the dirt from the edging in the hole it would be wonderful. They took the time to do just that and level it off to boot. Honestly, our interactions with this great crew of workers has been nothing short of phenomenal.
